Welcome to CityBuzz! Here is how to get the most out of the community layer:

City Selection: Manually type your city to instantly see the local thread or create a new one.
The "Buzz": Real-time posts rise based on velocity.

Vibe & Reputation

Your Reputation score reflects your contributions to the community and your overall influence within local threads.

Earning Points: High-quality posts that generate meaningful replies and positive engagement increase your "Buzz Momentum."
Status Tiers: Higher reputation scores grant your posts increased visibility and priority in the city-wide feed.
Vibe Checks: Consistently being flagged for toxic behavior or violating community protocols will result in a reputation drop.

Location Privacy

CityBuzz is built on the principle of digital sovereignty. Unlike traditional social platforms, we do not monitor your movements or track your GPS coordinates in the background.

User-Driven Discovery: You choose the "Buzz Zone" you want to participate in. Your location is never "guessed" or forced by our servers.
Zero Metadata Storage: We do not store hidden location metadata within your posts. Your exact physical address remains your business.
IP Masking: Our infrastructure utilizes advanced protocols to ensure that your regional connection stays private and secure.

By manually selecting your city, you maintain 100% control over your digital footprint. We provide the platform; you provide the location.

Trust & Safety

Our mission is to maintain a high-vibe, local ecosystem. Community safety is a shared responsibility between our automated protocols and our users.

Real-Time Reporting

Use the Flag Icon on any post to report toxic behavior, harassment, or spam. Reports are fed directly into our Admin API for immediate review by the Tabania moderation team.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

To protect the community, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, doxxing, or illegal activity. Violations result in an immediate and permanent purge of the offending profile.

Automated Filters

Our system utilizes proactive filters to intercept known spam patterns before they reach the city feed, ensuring the "Buzz" stays relevant and human-driven.

Data Support

Manage your digital identity and data sovereignty within the CityBuzz mobile application. We provide the tools for you to control your presence on the platform.

Data Portability

You own your data. Data export requests (JSON format) can be triggered via the in-app settings menu. Once requested, a secure download link will be sent to your verified email address.

Compliant with Global Privacy Protocols

Profile Integrity

Need to update your credentials? You can manage your linked emails, display names, and profile aesthetics directly through the Account Management dashboard. Changes sync across all Tabania services instantly.

Security Verification

If you lose access to your account, our recovery protocol utilizes multi-factor verification to ensure only you can regain entry. We never store plain-text passwords for your protection.

Deleting Your Profile

Profile deletion is a permanent action that immediately initiates the purge of all personal identifiers and associated data from the CityBuzz mobile application.

Immediate Data Purge

Once confirmed, your username, reputation score, and private metadata are wiped from our active servers. This action is irreversible and cannot be undone by our support team.

Public Contributions

To maintain the integrity of local "Buzz" history, your public threads and replies will remain visible but will be permanently anonymized (assigned to "Deleted User") and stripped of all profile links.

Final Protocol

Before deleting, we recommend using the Data Export tool in Account Support to save a local copy of your history. Deletion also forfeits any active Tabania+ benefits or reputation tiers.

Media & Image Loading

CityBuzz is optimized for high-velocity text delivery. If images are appearing as placeholders or loading slowly:

Data Saver: Ensure your device or browser is not in "Low Data" mode.
Cache Sync: Refresh the thread to re-fetch media assets from the Tabania CDN.
Connection: High-resolution media may be throttled on 3G or unstable public Wi-Fi.

Authentication & Sessions

To protect your reputation points and personal data, we maintain strict session protocols:

Session Expiry: For your security, accounts may be logged out after periods of inactivity.
Network Switches: Switching between VPNs or moving from Wi-Fi to Cellular may trigger a security re-auth.
Cookies: Ensure "Essential Cookies" are enabled in your browser to maintain your login state.

Community Guidelines

CityBuzz thrives on high-quality, local interaction. To maintain a healthy ecosystem, we prioritize content that is:

Helpful & Local: Share insights that matter to your city—traffic, events, or local tips.
Constructive: Debate is welcome, but keep the "Vibe" respectful. Shouting and harassment are filtered.
Human-Driven: Low-effort spam or automated posting is strictly prohibited to keep the feed authentic.

Global & Local Broadcasts

CityBuzz utilizes a dual-tier communication system to ensure you stay informed about what matters, from your neighborhood to the world.

Global Broadcasts

These are high-priority alerts issued by the CityBuzz Admin team. They appear at the top of every city feed and are used for critical platform updates, global news, or major system announcements.

The City Pulse

Unlike Global Broadcasts, the "Pulse" is driven by you. It highlights trending local threads with the highest velocity in your selected city, ensuring you never miss the most important local conversations.

Priority Notifications

Broadcasts bypass standard feed filters to ensure immediate visibility. You can manage your notification preferences for these alerts in the Authentication & Sessions settings.

In CityBuzz, your voice carries weight. This section outlines how your engagement directly impacts the visibility of local issues and the overall "Pulse" of your city.

Boosting the Pulse

When you interact with a thread, you are essentially "voting" for its importance. Threads with high engagement from "Trusted Locals" are pushed to the top of the feed, ensuring that critical community news is seen first.

The "Verified" Weight

As your Reputation grows, so does your influence. Votes and replies from high-tier users contribute more "Velocity" to a thread, allowing established community members to help moderate the quality of the city feed naturally.
